Verbatim has released a new USB key drive- a one-gig U3 Smart Drive- that allows you to check e-mail, save passwords and access personal bookmarks on any computer, without leaving any trace of you on the computer. This drive includes McAfee anti-virus software, Firefox, Open Office and Trillian. When plugged into a computer, it opens a self-explanatory menu box: ?Explore U3 drive,? ?Add programs? and ?Status and settings.? There’s an Eject button also.

The pros:
1) No need to carry your laptop, probably a smartphone is enough
2) You can use it on any Windows based computer, plug the drive in and do your stuff while maintaining complete privacy
3) No need to install the softwares you use on multiple computers and move around your PIM and Profile data from one computer to another

The cons:
1) This storage drive doesn’t work with Mac or Linux.
2) You can ONLY install programs built on U3 platform and some softwares available here
