Today I tried signing up for Google Pages and guess what, I got a message stating that-
Thank you for your interest in Google Page Creator! Google Page Creator has experienced extremely strong demand, and, as a result, we have temporarily limited the number of new signups as we increase capacity. In the meantime, please submit your email address and we will notify you as soon as we are ready to add new accounts. Thank you for your patience.

So much demand in just one day of release? It just can’t be. Apart from most of its products being in the Beta phase, registration for its earlier services too had been stopped at some time like Google Earth and Google Analytics which is still invite only.
Why?
Is Google trying to create an artificial hype for its products by saying that due to popular demand, they are making it invite only?
Does Google rush out a product too early only to realize a flaw in its service?
For example, publishing a Google Page means giving out your email address to the world literally because your Google Page domain matches your GMail id.
In case a flaw is found in its service, can Google blame it on the Beta status?
Its been more than a year now since Gmail has been in Beta but still their service is still slow and sucks with some most common features still missing from its interface.
Is Google facing shortage of capacity?
C’mon, they run the world’s largest search engine with a market cap of a 100 billion dollars.
I guess only Google knows the answer!!
