Microsoft’s Passport.Net was meant to make things easier for people by allowing single sign on experience to websites using Passport.net. But for most people it was a nuisance. Passport.com’s Trevin explains Why Passport sign in sucks?. Now BetaNews is reporting that Passport is going to be replaces by Windows Live ID which would work in tandem with another Microsoft service, InfoCard. Microsoft is introducing some 30 odd Live services shortly. They are trying to repeat what they did earlier with the .NET brand attaching the name to products from Windows .Net Servers, to MapPoint.Net.
