Yahoo has launched ZoneTag, a free S60 v2 proto type application to geo tag photos that you upload to Flickr with GPS or cell-tower-aided positioning information. Other features include setting privacy control options to ensure that only those people whom you specify can view your photos, and only those shots that you approve are location-stamped,and customised tags. This application runs in the background and is currently aimed at only US users.
Merkitys is a great alternative to this software with geotag support.
Shozu is yet another application but they don’t offer geotagging yet.

1I really like the idea of having my photos tagged with the location. At the moment I just set a default tag for the city I?m in. Trouble is I have to remember to change the tag otherwise things get messed up.
But while I?m tempted to use ZoneTag it doesn?t really compare to ShoZu because of all the other cool things ShoZu does. I?m talking about viewing visitor comments on my phone rotating photos and adding tags and descriptions. Yeah I know ZoneTag does tagging too but it?s great to be able take a photo and upload it, then later on add tags and stuff.
Plus it looks like you have to remember to start ZoneTag before taking any photos. That?s a turn off for me because taking photos is more of a spare of the moment thing.

2Let use remember that Zonetag is a prototype and I agree with you that its a pain remembering to start Zonetag before clicking a pic, but I would say Merkitys is better than any of those geotagging software for S60. I’ve never tried Shozu but would like to try it out.
