I like Kaspersky Anti Virus for computers for the fact that their detection rates are the best in the world and there are regular updates from them (every hour, I believe). No wonder the total number of virii in its database currently stand at 171025. Fortunately, I got onto their Beta for KAV Mobile Symbian phones wherein they promised to give a one year license to the testers for providing feedback. Kaspersky forbids reviews of their software without prior permission. So I will not review the software but it already has and detects 101 virii in their mobile database. Let me say I am fortunate to get a one year license free when vendors are charging $30-$40 for the software and subscriptions. Some people might think anti-virus may not be needed for S60 mobile phones and I completely agree. Because a virus will not install automatically on the phone without you clicking Yes on install. But hey, what’s the fun and use of your smartphone if you don’t have any software on it?
