Google has launched finance.google.com, a Beta site for finance news and quotes.

Using headlines gathered from Google News, the chart would be able to show the user whether a certain event or story is having an effect on the stock price itself. The charts can be moved through time periods by clicking and dragging and zooming in for more detailed information, much like the functionality used in Google’s mapping product. Users can even create a portfolio of their stocks.

When a user searches for a stock, it will display the latest news related to the stock on the right hand side. The Company Summary is shown at the top followed by Company facts beloew that. Blog Posts about the company are shown on the bottom right hand corner. Google Finance displays information for companies listed on worldwide stock exchanges including India but quotes are only for some American/European stock exchanges.
