Techie Buzz has a guide on how to mount your Box.net account as a Windows Explorer shell drive (similiar to GMail drive). This guide works on the fact that Box.net has a WebDAV server at http://www.box.net/dav
I choose IBackup because I felt my data is no longer safe in my PC as any time a catastrophe can happen.
Using IBackup for Windows I do interactive backups and restores and/or schedule regular online backups and restores of all my critical files. It has easy-to-use Windows native graphical user interface, which allows you to transfer your files. You can even drag and drop your files to get it backed up or retrieved.
There are no limits set for backups and restores. All data transfer with IBackup is secure with the highest level of 128-bit SSL encryption on transmission. With their `Snapshots? feature an IBackup account holder can view the files and folders stored in his IBackup account during the previous days. It works like a data history. IBackup for Windows maintains the log of all the sessions of interactive and scheduled backups or restore and the user can watch them.
IBackup has a great application called IDrive. IDrive maps your IBackup online storage account as a local drive on your computer. This will allow you to drag-and-drop and edit files in your online backup account, as if they were on PC.
IDrive, which supports SSL encryption for data security, allows users to open and save files stored in their IBackup online backup/ storage accounts directly from their associated applications like Microsoft Office.
`Privately Share? data using Web-Manager, which also allows you to create new folders, upload files, move, rename, delete and search files in your online backup/storage. You can send shareable links to your friends and colleagues using Web-Manager.
IBackup Workgroup and Economy subscription accounts, including Sub-Accounts, are FTP ready. They are compatible with most FTP clients on most platforms providing a powerful flexible tool to transfer files. IBackup’s FTP server even supports full 128-bit SSL encryption.
IBackup?s trial account offers the performance and all the premium features available for a subscription account, including the ability to create up to three sub-accounts. Please try it for a change.
You should also check out Data Deposit Box for online data backup. It’s inexpensive and very easy to use. It takes about 2 minutes to install the online backup agent. Once installed it’s fully automatic with nothing to remember and no procedures to follow. You can access your online data storage easily with a web browser.
