Here’s how to hard reset or format your Nokia N70 mobile phone:
1) Switch off your phone
2) Press and hold these 3 keys together:
-green dial key
-the star key(*)
-the number 3 key (Ugh, I wish I had three hands…!!)
3) Power on the phone
Warning: Do not release the keys until you see a formatting screen and even after the phone has started. Wait until the initial sound starts to play and the hand animation is displayed.

6Ok I didn’t release the three buttons but the phone asks for the lock code, so I had to release them ……..

13I would suggest you take the phone to a Nokia Service center in case the hard reset/format is not working.

15scenario: i’m listening to my mp3 then ecerytime i recieve a message it always stop. is it normal? and the last time i update my n70 and thank god it didn’t failed but i noticed something.. whenever i send a message wihout a load it says “message not sent this time” instead of “check operator services”.. what happened? did i failed in updating my phone? and oh yeah.. while i’m updating my phone. my pc is disconnecting my connection into the phone and it just got back when i finished updating my phone. but it says “updating complete” is that ok? pls help me.. i’m from philippines thank you.. i’m hoping for your reply.. god bless

16Hi, I bought a phone from the UK but live in Finland. It’s a Nokia N70 on the “o2″ network. I haven’t received it yet but am assuming it’s “locked.” I’ve been hearing a lot on hopeless responses about trying to unlock the N70’s; is it hopeless or do they get “unlocked” sometimes???

19hi the code * + 3 + Green is a soft reset for the N70. it restores factory settings but doesnt format the phone. in old phones like 6600 i used to get a white screen and a phrase in the middle saying formatting % and then the phone restarts and all data are restored from teh ROM. is there a way to do so in the N70 ?

44RE: sana, U have to download latest Nokia Pc Suite from Nokia website. (It’s free). After download install it on your computer then put the data cable(U need a DKU 2 data cable to access the mobile. :-( u have to buy it!) into your USB port of your computer and joint the data cable to the mobile. then wait for while. IT WILL CONNECT..

60If you want to format phone memory of 6630 first remove your memory card and then type *#7370# it will ask password then type 12345 (default) your phone will get restarted and phone memory will get formatted. If you have created back up only your phone book contacts will be restored back

The Phone ask for a code to unlock
