OwnSkin is a free web based tool that allows users to create fully customized skins for Nokia S60, S40 and Sony Ericsson UIQ mobile devices. Users can customize and change the wallpaper, application icons, menu background, text color and more. You can even preview the changes that you make in the sidebar.

Intructions to create a skin:

+ Select your phone model (Nokia, Sony Ericsson)
+ Upload a GIF, JPG or PNG image for the Idle background
+ Crop and select part of the image that you’d like to include in the background
+ Select image for Active background
+ If you want, you can go to advanced options to customize the following details:

- color filter for text, select or hide clock image, change the signal and battery bar, change application icon, change the Music Player / Calendar / Go to Background, change the menu popup background, menu selection bar and caller ID background and finally change the text and icons color
