VistaBootPRO is a free software to make changes to the Windows Vista Boot Configuration Data (BCD) registry quickly and easily. The only other way to edit the BCD is to use the command prompt application “bcdedit.exe,” located in the Windows\system32 folder of Windows Vista but which requires additional knowledge about the switches and options of bcdedit.exe and is not easy for novices. VistaBootPRO does this through a GUI.
Note: It is highly encouraged that all user’s make a backup of the BCD store using the backup option in VistaBootPRO 2.1 Beta BEFORE making any changes to the BCD entries.
FAQ:
What is the BCD store?
The Boot Configuration Data (BCD) store contains boot configuration parameters and controls how the operating system is started in Microsoft? Windows Vista? and Microsoft? Windows Server? Code Name “Longhorn” operating systems. These parameters were previously in the Boot.ini file (in BIOS-based operating systems)

1PROnetworks is not the original author of this program.
This program is built on “borrowed” code, the original author being “Computer Guru” of NeoSmart Technologies.
The real program is EasyBCD and it really works, with more features, less bloat, and no theft of code or intellectual property.
Anywho…. how the hell is VistaBootPRO at version 3.1 when Vista hasn’t even gone gold?
Just look at the changelog: it’s an exact copy of EasyBCD’s… They obviously just look at NeoSmart’s changelog and try to copy it.
Just giving the facts.. CG deserves some credit.
