These are the steps to install Route 66 on Nokia N91 (received from Route66 support):
1) Connect the Nokia N91 with your PC or Notebook
2) In the display of the N91 the following choices appear:
- Media player
- PC suite
- Mass Storage
3) Choose ” Mass Storage”
4) The N91 will appear on your computer as an “external HDD” (under ” My computer” on your desktop )
5) Insert the Mobile 7 cd/dvd onto you computer and follow the instructions of the ?installer?
6) When Installation is finished:
- You will find the R66 Mobile 7 icon in “my Own” on the Nokia N91
- If you get the msg” some file are missing, please reinstall” please reset the N91 by typing
*#7370# , password 12345. This will reset the phone settings:

3A similar, alternative, procedure is:
1. Install the program on any sufficiently large memory card you may have, letting the installation program reformat.
2. Connect the N91 in “Mass Storage” mode.
3. Copy the contents of the memory card onto the N91 hard disk. Answer “yes” whenever asked if you want to add the files to an existing folder.
4. Shutdown and restart the phone. The installation program will automatically run.

5Once installed, the memory card has a standard folder structure.
By copying in mass storage mode to the phone disk’s root folder, and answering “yes” when asked about existing folders, all the Route 66 files will be placed in the proper hard disk folder.
The new files are added to existing folders, but no existing files are affected (you will never be asked if you want to overwrite any file).
Next time you start up the phone, those new files will tell it that it has to run the Route 66 installation program.

6Hi i have tried using both methods you have described above, when i try to install it off the disc (setting the phone to mass storage) It formats the hard drive then it tells me there is not enough space available, even though i have deleted all my files and the hard drive is empty. I have also tried the other method and it works how you described except it doesnt install when the phone starts up again, and i cannot then find it in MY OWN or MY TOOLS. If you could advise me on what to do next that would be most helpfull, Thanks

7I’ve turned my phone in mass storage mode, i’ve installed all the system file in the root of the memory card, i’ve answered yes when it talked about any existing folder, installed the map. I’ve shut down the phone, and turned on again. The problem is that i don’t see any installer or icon on “My Own” folder…
What could it be?

8Hi,
I installed route 66 on my N91 and the icon appears under the “My Own” section however, when I try to startup the software it comes with the error “Resource Error…Resource files are missing. Please reinstall the application.”
I do not have maps at the moment but just the software.
Any ideas please?
Also, can we use Tomtom maps or another format?
Thanks.
