I forgot to mention that I’m thinking of a hard reset of the phone. Would this clean up my woes? The phone is second hand, and when I got it it was more or less at factory settings (no extra software or themes).
Could I have a little virus useing up processor cycles while in standby?

Sam: Try the following
If you installed to memory card, remove it.
remove the battery and reinsert. Try truning the phone back on.
Format the memory card if the app is on it. Back up file you want onto your PC with a USB reader.
My nokia n93 is using a new 1100 mah nokia orig batt. It lasts for 8 hours on a full charge (performed over night). It stays in standby most of the time. Does not connect to 3g (or search for it) and I only use it for making a short call in the morning. wifi and bluetooth are off and not used. I am connecting to a GPRS network and vary occasionally browse the net for a short period (i’m on prepay so don’t get free wap).

I have a N93 mobile. I had changed my lock code from 12345 to something else and had also put a lock on the phone if someone tried to change the sim . Is there a way to unlock the phone as it asks for the lock code every time I ask to reset the phone . Please help ASAP.

plz i have tried the green call key + 3 + * but it did not work with my phone because the problem is that any time i switch on my n93 phone it will show “phone start up failed contact retailer” before booting finish and i have tried to flash without success can anyone HELP

Sam: there is another way of hard resetting n93 i think but im not sure if it works:
Switch off the phone then press and hold Call key (Green key) + * key + 3 key + power button for a couple of seconds.
