Google has released a Linux version of its photo editing software, Picasa. Picasa for Linux is not a native Linux software but is built on WINE, an open-source implementation of the Windows API. To allow Picasa to run well on Linux, Google made a few improvements to Wine.
Picasa for Linux should work on any Linux system with Intel 386-compatible processor, glibc 2.3.2 or greater, and a working X11 display system.
