Thanks to ActiveWin for this trick. When you try to download a WGA (Windows Genuine Advantage) software from Microsoft Download Center for Windows XP, Microsoft installs a hidden software called mgadiag.exe in the background. This software performs a check against Microsoft’s servers to see if your Windows (and Office) is genuine or not.

To bypass this WGA check, follow these steps:

1) Download mgadiag.exe
Link- http://download.microsoft.com/download/5/3/3/533A40BE-936B-4267-B043-2F04233A78A6/MGADiag.exe
2) Run mgadiag.exe. It will list a lot of information like : Genuine validation status, the Product Key, Product Key Hash, Product ID, etc.
The important entry we need to look for is Download Center code: MQGDLBF. The value of Download Center code varies from software to software.
3) Go to the download page for any software like for eg. Windows Defender whose URL is
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=435bfce7-da2b-4a6a-afa4-f7f14e605a0d&displaylang=en and add &Hash=”Download Center code value” to the end of the URL.
So the new link would be http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?FamilyID=435bfce7-da2b-4a6a-afa4-f7f14e605a0d&displaylang=en&Hash=MQGDLBF
4) Now you should have skipped the WGA check and got the page to download the software directly
