The Nokia Software update utility now lists firmware upgrades for Nokia E Series devices - E50/E60/E61/E70. But a lot of users have reportedly faced issues upgrading the firmware for the E70 (stuck at boot screen, etc). So if you want to take a chance, go ahead and upgrade your phone. Nokia is anyway responsible for whatever happens to your phone :)
