XDrive (an AOL company) has relaunched with a vengeance. They are now offering free accounts with upto 5GB online storage space.
The best features I like about XDrive are:
-You can access your online storage space via Windows Explorer as a Hard Drive.
-You can also navigate through your Xdrive file system and select files to e-mail or fax wirelessly or stream music stored on your Xdrive through your mobile device/PDA.
-Free SSL based Automatic Backup and restore software
-Share folders with mutiple users
-Upload Manger- Pause and resume uploads for huge files

1You can perform all the above said tasks with another application called IBackup for Windows. Unlike other sites, which have set limits on downloads, IBackup for Windows has no limits on downloads and it does backup and restore operations pretty fast. Moreover, it?s feature rich, user friendly and has the feel and look of Windows explorer.
With 128-bit SSL security, you can backup and restore files without consuming too much bandwidth, as the application does incremental and compressed backups. IBackup for Windows has easy-to-use wizards for interactive backups, restores and backup/restore scheduling. The `Snapshots? feature allows an IBackup account holder to view files and folders stored in the IBackup account during the previous days. IBackup for Windows maintains the log of all the sessions of interactive and scheduled backups or restore and the user can watch them. You can also backup open files like Outlook files and Quicken files with IBackup for Windows.
For a more secure, reliable, and easy to use Internet based backup solution with additional emphasis on security and data retention, there is IBackup Professional. The data files backed up using IBackup Professional are encrypted on transmission using 128-bit SSL and the stored files are by default encrypted using AES 256-bit encryption* and automatically decrypted during restores. The encryption is done based on a user defined key, so the data stored on IBackup Professional servers cannot be decrypted by anybody other than you.
If you download IBackup?s IDrive it will map your online account as a local drive in your computer. You can then edit and save files or folders in the account, as if they are on your PC. Operations using IDrive enjoy 128-bit SSL encryption. There is also intelligent caching, which will update your local cache with the latest version of the data in IBackup, if modified by other users in a collaborative environment.
You can easily move music and video files to your IBackup account with just a few clicks. You can play the multimedia files instantaneously in the favorite media player of your choice with IDrive Multimedia . With Web-Manager you can do a lot like create folders, upload, webload files, rename, move, delete and share files or folders with others for collaborative access. You can also Private Share? feature allows an IBackup user to instantly share data with another IBackup user.
