ATI’s has released a free Windows Vista Upgrade Readiness Advisor to see if your computer can be upgraded to Vista with the current hardware configuration. This tool works on Windows 98, 98SE, ME, 2000, XP, 2003, Media Center and Internet Explorer, Firefox and Netscape browsers are also supported unlike Microsoft’s Vista Upgrade Advisor which can run only via Internet Explorer. This tool will scan your system and explicitly state if your computer has a Minimum/Recomended/Optimal configuration.
System Requirements Lab provides not only a summary analysis but also a detailed breakdown of each of your system’s components. The analysis tells you what the requirement is, what your system has, and whether or not you passed the requirement. If any component does not meet a specific requirement, System Requirements Lab provides specific and detailed solutions to help you upgrade your system. Sometimes it may be a free driver download and sometimes it may be a link to a specific component.
