@John

Nokia has committed to making Symbian Open Source, but has not actually done so yet. They are in the process of doing so. Further, just because it is Open Source doesn't mean that there is "NO problem" to writing a sync program. Synchronization software seems to be difficult to implement well, even from people who have an inside view of the software.

However, S60 uses SyncML as their underlying sync technology, which actually makes it slightly easier to work with since that is a somewhat standardized form of synchronizing.

My best advice for you is to sync your n95 with an Internet based SyncML server (such as the free ScheduleWorld) and then have Mozilla Thunderbird synchronize to the SyncML server.

This is SO stupid! I installed Thunderbird yesterday and searching my ass off to get it synced with my N95 :( Nokia made Symbian Open Source, so there should be NO problem at all to write a good sync-program

I am sceptical about free resources like Zyb mobile & Plaxo
Why are they offering these services for free. What is their ultimate aim? To get as many contact details as possible and make money selling the database?
