GSMBeam is a cool freeware application for Windows Mobile 2003/5.0 based devices that allows you to send files through your carrier’s GSM network to another mobile user with GSMBeam installed. GSM is the network on which you speak to others, NOT a 3G/CDMA/UMTS/GPRS connection. In effect what that means is if you have an unlimited talk time plan (like most people do in US), then you can send large files (like documents, photos, MMS, text) to someone else using GSMBeam free of cost. Even if you don’t have an unlimited talk time plan, you can still try this app to send files via GSM as it MAY cost less than an SMS/GPRS data plan.
