Google has introduced a new feature in Google Webmaster tools that allows you to control the frequency of Googlebot’s visit to your website/blog. There are three options- slower, normal and faster (depending on how much bandwith the server can handle). Another new cool feature is Googlebot activity reports that shows you the number of pages Googlebot’s crawled from your site per day, the number of kilobytes of data Googlebot’s downloaded per day, and the average time it took Googlebot to download pages. Also access the Sitemaps tab to see the number of URLs submitted.

1Yeah the Google webmaster tools are really nice, but for some reason I never have any stats for crawl stats or page analysis!? Any idea why?

2My site hasn’t been crawled since April 27 2008
Is there a reason for this as I understand that Google are issue new rankings now and I think I am missing out.
Is there some way to request a crawl?
