HFS (ie HTTP File Server) is a free, open source, lightweight (only 500KB!!) HTTP file/webserver with a difference. It runs out of the box, meaning there is no need to install anything, just doubleclick on the single standalone exe, drag and drop the files you want to be hosted and its ready to share. No need to understand the complexities of Windows IIS or Linux Apache!
You can use this to upload files from a remote computer to your home computer, share files with friends instead of relying on third party services with bandwidth restrictions or even download music, videos, files from your office. All this can be done over HTTP, Port 80 so no company can ever block your uploads/downloads.
It also has a Dynamic DNS updater to be used if your ISP assigns you a new IP everytime you connect.
