Microsoft has released Remote Desktop Connection (Terminal Services Client) version 6.0 for Windows XP SP2 and 2003 SP1 Server based computers. This is a version of TSC that ships built-in with Windows Vista.
Apart from the GUI changes, new features include:
-Network Level Authentication: The client authenticates to the network Windows domain before bringing the desktop logon screen (in the form of a login popup). Now you cannot save the username/password in the RDP client itself
-Reconnect to a session if the connection is dropped
-Select local resources and devices like Clipboard, Smartcards and plug and play devices for use in remote session
-Allows connection thru TS gateway servers (TS gateway servers allow connection over SSL port 443 rather than the default 3389 for RDP)
