Windows Vista’s new search bar in the Start Menu is a useful and worthy introduction over Windows XP Start Menu. But what if you want to run any software like Outlook with a command like switch? By default, the “Run” dialog box is not displayed in the Start Menu. Here’s how you can get the Run command dialog box in your Start Menu:
1. Right click on your Windows Taskbar and goto Properties.
2. Click on the Start Menu Tab and then select Customize.
3. Scroll through the list and select the Run Command check box.
4. Click OK all the way out
You should now see the Run command in your Vista start menu.
