Unlinke Windows XP in which you could only share a “folder” containing files on your computer, Windows Vista allows you to share an individual file on the corporate network. Assigning permissions is also simpler than Windows XP.
Simply select a File, on the command bar choose the option to Share, enter the name of the user on your network whom you want to share the file with and give them appropriate right of access such as reader, co-owner,etc.
Windows Vista can even automatically compose an email to the individual with whom you’ve shared the file with the hyperlink to the shared content
