Peekamo Beta is a free online web based mobile service that allows you to send free group SMS text messages to any mobile phone through any carrier’s SMS gateway absoulutely free of cost without costing anything to the recipient. For added security, the senders’s mobile phone number is always masked with a Peekamo ID. The SMS text messages are stored in peekamo inbox from where you can send, reply and delete SMS messages using a web based interface.
The messages sent from the system aren’t SMTP Email to SMS messages but proper mobile SMSs sent from a SMS gateway.

1Now, why would I want to give my friend’s number to an advertiser (for whom 20 of the 160 characters are reserved) for every text message I send to my friend? It might be protecting my number, but not my friends’ number(s), right?

3Hello and thank you for linking Peekamo.com.
Nirmalya as the co-founder of Peekamo I would like to ensure you and the rest of the public that we are not in the business of selling your or your friend’s phone numbers. We advertise because we have to pay for the text messages. How else do you expect us to run this business?
Yes 20 of 160 characters are reserved, however if you haven’t noticed, the service is free with unlimited messaging, so if 140 is not enough for you, then why not just send another message, then another. It’s not like it’s costing you or the recipient.
Maybe you should read our faqs, our about us, and our article at http://peekamo.blogspot.com to better understand us and why we are doing this. We in the business of helping people, not harrasing them.
I believe when you call your friends from Skype or email your friends at Yahoo, those emails and phone numbers are also captured, so I suppose you don’t use those services as well.
Please try our service, and if you find that we’re sending SPAM to your friends, then come back here and make your comments, till them please don’t judge us because others have done you wrong in the past.
Thank you,
Al Sajoo
