Java Mobile to PC (JM2PC) is a new, freeware software for any Java J2ME based mobile device like Motorola, Nokia and Sony Ericsson that allows you to remotely drive your computer and perform actions on it from the internet. The mobile client contains options to access and edit files, start and stop applications, control your mouse, keyboard and other devices attached to your desktop computer.

The software consists of two parts:
JM2PC Client for the Mobile phone: Requires a MIDP 1.0/CLDC-1.0 compatible mobile
JM2PC Server for any Windows/Linux/Unix/Solaris PC: The server component requires Sun Java 1.5 or later to be installed on the machine
The mobile client can be download to the computer from here or directly to your mobile device from wap.jm2pc.com
The server software can be downloaded here

2Thanks! This seems to be a very useful app demonstrating the bluetooth remote control profile.
Is there any way to get the sample source code for the same?

3Hey There,
While this sort of stuff is definitely cool (except for the fact that it makes it impossible to get “out of the office” ;) I wonder what the security implications are going to be down the line.
I never use this stuff because I’m paranoid to the point that I’d always be wondering if all someone had to do was hack my mobile in order to have full access to my server/desktop
Thanks for the post :)
, Mike
