Can you imagine how long it would take to type http://thinkabdul.com/2007/04/10/freeware-portable-utility-to-hack-crack-decrypt-or-recover-email-instant-messenger-passwords-for-gmailgtalkyahooaolwindows-live-hotmail-accounts/ in your cell phone’s browser? Forget it, you can’t even think of it.
Firefox Mobile Barcoder is a freeware extension for Mozilla Firefox web browser that allows you to capture long website URLs/Links displayed in the web browser using your mobile phone’s camera.
Once installed you can hover your mouse in the the status bar of Firefox and a barcode for the current window’s URL will be displayed.

Simply capture this QRCode with your cell phone’s camera. You can then open the saved barcode image with a freeware application such as Kaywa Barcode reader which is available for Nokia and Sony Ericsson mobile devices and launch the bookmark/URL with the inbuilt mobile web browser of your device.
Download the extension here

1This is great but there is another free 2D symbology reader called Qode.
Qode offers more than just clicking on barcodes. Qode offer one click to content from the 1D, QR, data matrix, 2D symbology, UPC, trademark, logo, keywords, slogans, RFID, billboards, etc.
Why should the consumer just worry about typing quick links. What about the rest of them.
Which mobile platform offers the best solution?
