Jason Langridge writes on his blog that one cannot create a blank, new Microsoft Word or Excel document on a Windows Mobile 6.0 Standard Smartphone device but you can open and edit existing documents and email attachments. Not sure why Microsoft did that but it is strange, isn’t it?
Well, here is a workaround. Create a blank, new Microsoft Word or Excel document on your desktop computer and copy it over to your Smartphone under My Documents. Now simply open this existing Word/Excel document and Save As with a different file name. Basically, you use this blank document as a template for new Word and Excel files.
