Yesterday, I had posted a link to an article from SmallBuilder on Howto enable & configure WakeOnLan|WAN from PowerOff to bootup/power on computer remotely over Internet behind Router|Firewall.
Today, I would like to mention a freeware Java J2ME WakeOnLan mobile client for MIDP 1.0 supporting mobile devices such as Nokia, Motorola, Sony Ericsson and Blackberry. This small application allows you to enter the IP and MAC address of the remote computer on your mobile phone using a 3G/GPRS/EDGE internet connection on your cell phone and wake up your computer remotely.
It is recommended you read the previous article to setup WakeOnLan properly on your router/firewall and ensure that you can wake up your computer remotely using another PC. Once that is setup, you shouldn’t have problems using this Java mobile application
