Here’s a quick tip to remove & prevent the Windows Vista Sidebar from displaying and loading at startup:
1) Right click on the Vista Sidebar and goto Preperties
2) Uncheck the “Start Sidebar when Windows starts” option in the panel.
3) Reboot the computer or Right-click on the icon, and select “Exit” to close the sidebar.

1It doesn’t work. I did it but every time I start Vista, sidebar starts! I don’t find keys in regedit to delete sidebar, I already checked up on msconfig and sidebar does not exists anymore. But every time I start Vista, sidebar starts!!! I hate it!!!
