Robocopy is a free utility from Microsoft that helps you tide over such a situation. Robocopy is a free utility that shipped for Windows 2003 as a part of the Resource Kit but is a standard utility built into Windows Vista. Though it is primarily a command line based tool, a Microsoft employee has created a GUI based version of the tool which can be download here

I haven’t tested the GUI based version on Windows Vista but if it doesn’t work, you may try to run it Windows XP SP2 or 2003 Compatibility mode.
