Google Labs has released an excellent experimental build of the Google Search homepage called Experimental Search that allows you to search, navigate and open search results within a page using keyboard shortcuts similiar to what is available in GMail. You can use J and K to move up and down the search results page. O or
You can add this link to Opera or Firefox search bar to search directly without going to the Experimental Search page first.
Other features in the Google Experimental Search include:
Left-hand search navigation

Right-hand contextual search navigation

This is in addition to the new interface and Universal Search concept introduced during the last few days.
