Beejive has released a Beta version of their free, all-in-one instant messaging application for Blackberry mobile devices called JiveTalk. This is an excellent piece of software with a multitude of features supporting the following Blackberry devices: 7100 Series, 7200 Series, 7500 Series, 7700 Series, 8100 Series, 8300 Series, 8700 Series, 8800 Series. A Symbian and Windows Mobile version is in the works which I am looking forward to.

Key features of this IM client include:

•Automatically reconnects in case of data service disruption, including phone calls, loss of cell coverage

•Conversation history - view or email past chats
•Full 128-bit encryption of all over-the-air data transmission
