Polyglot 3000 is a freeware language identifier application for Windows. It allows users to select and enter text or a set of words from a webpage or document and recognize the language. This could be useful if you download a non English file or visit a foreign/regional webpage but don’t know what language is used to translate it further. Polygot can recognize and distinguish between 441 languages and dialects (the largest database of its kind). The software claims to recognize some of the most rare languages such as Pipil (spoken by only 20 people in the world as of today) or Yukaghir (spoken by around 170 people in Russia).

Key features of Polyglot 3000 include:
* Recognizes more than 400 languages (see list below).
* Supports Unicode texts.
* Convenient user interface.
* True-Coloured icons in menu and toolbar.
* Quick and correct language identification.
