Last week, Nokia had released a Beta version 1.0 of the Nokia Media Transfer software for Mac operating system that allows you to transfer S60 files and synchronize Mac apps such as iTunes and iPhotos to an S60 3rd Edition mobile device. The only problem with the software is it is currently compatible only with Nokia N-Series based S60 v3 devices. If you connect an E-Series device such as E60, E61, E62, E65 or E70, it throws an error about being Not Supported.

The Tech Transit blog finds out that the Media Transfer software dynamically updates it list of profiles for mobile phones and stores it under Library/Application Support/Nokia Media Transfer/Profiles in your Home folder. So E-Series might some day be supported officially by Nokia. But if you don’t have enough patience, you can unofficially create a profile for your very own E-Series mobile device by following steps outlined on the blog and start synchronizing music, videos, photos and files with your Mac.

Update: The latest version of Nokia Media Transfer 1.0 beta supports ESeries devices officially.
