Symbian S60 recently introduced Open C, a new programming lanuage to help optimize porting of open source and desktop applications to S60 on Symbian OS. As a part of a demo of this new language, Forum Nokia has released a free GUI based FTP client for Nokia S60 3rd Edition based N-Series and E-Series mobile devices. This version of the FTP client allows you to connect to FTP servers, view directory listings and download files directly to your mobile device.
From the Readme,
-FTP server options (address, port, user name, and password) can be set
through the Options menu.
-When the settings have been entered, connection can be made by selecting
Connect in the Options menu.
-By default, this application connects to any public, anonymous FTP server and fetches the root-level directory listing.
-Files can be downloaded by selecting a file from the directory listing
and pressing the selection key.
-Downloaded files can be found in the Others folder.
-By typing letters while viewing the file list, a search box shows up to
speed with the file selection.
-Connection settings are automatically saved after modification and loaded
when the application starts.
Be sure to read the readme file to learn how to install and configure the application onto your mobile device.
