Nokia has introduced a newer version of Nokia Mobile Server for Nokia S60 3rd Edition based mobile devices at mymobilesite.net.
The service provides a Nokia gateway infrastructure for HTTP connectivity to devices; an easy registration of your own domain name; a Nokia signed MWS S60 software download; ready-made content that allows users to easily use, create content, and browse it immediately after setup; a web cache; an SSL connection security; and an authentication system for accessing mobile content.
Nokia Mobile Server allows you to create, share and access the following type of content from your mobile device via HTTP from a PC/Mobile web browser:
Contacts: Look up phone numbers & manage your phone contacts
SMS Sending: Send SMS using PC web browser. SMS are sent as if you had typed them with your phone
Blog: Tell stories on your journeys
Calendar: Browse your calendar & colleagues can see your availability (like schedule+free/busy feature of Windows Mobile)
Gallery: Browse the camera phone’s image gallery on your PC
Instant Messaging: Get instant messages your friends have sent to your phone screen
Camera: Share instant pictures
Phone log: View received and missed calls
Guestbook: visitors can leave their comments/messages
Guest and friend user accounts

Mobile Web Server can run in a local network using a local IP address or on the Internet using a mobile web domain. Therefore, you can access your mobile phone’s content from a PC browser through a WiFi or GPRS internet connection on your smartphone.
