Numbr is a cool service that offers free anonymous, disposable telephone numbers in 23 US cities that can be forwarded to any landline or mobile phone. To use numbr, you just need to fill out a form with details such as how long you want to use the number before it expires (minimum 1 hour, max 1 week), the number to forward the calls to and other advanced options like whether to activate voicemail or call screening, don’t accept calls from blocked Caller IDs or suspected telemarketers, do not disturb time, email incoming call history, etc. You can also select a city of your choice with a local area code. You can even call up their call center to setup an expiring, disposable phone number. After a number has been setup, you can manage and change settings for that particular number for numbr’s web interface.

If readers click on your web-embedded iNumbr widget, they will listen to your recording, and if they choose to, could call you on your numbr. Naturally, the iNumbr widget will expire when you retire your numbr!
