PrivaTunes is free application for Windows that helps remove personal details from DRM-free music downloaded from iTunes Plus. Last month, the TUAW blog had reported that Apple embeds the purchaser’s full name and email address in m4a music files downloaded from iTunes Plus. This tool can remove these details (name and email address) from such iTunes Plus files. The software can anonymize only one file at a time. It also allows to make a backup of the original m4a file.
