SimulScrive has released a free, beta version of their iPhone-like visual voicemail client for Blackberry mobile devices called SimulSays through which users can scroll, click and listen to voicemail messages on their phone. Users can also read their voicemail messages in the application using SimulScribe, a voicemail-to-text service. SimulSays Beta integrates with the mobile phone’s contact book, allowing users to reply to the known caller’s message by phone, text message or e-mail. The application runs in the background and notifies users of new voicemail messages, even when it is closed.
Voicemail transcribed through SimulScribe is delivered in near real-time with the caller’s phone
number in the e-mail subject line, transcribed voice message in the body and an attached audio file of the original message.
The software is currently compatible with BlackBerry 8800 series, BlackBerry Pearl and BlackBerry Curve. Though the perss release mentions a client for Windows Mobile based devices, there is no link to download it.
To download the SimulSays mobile client from your mobile browser, visit mobile.simulsays.com
Note: The transcribtion of voicemail messages is free for 7 days only.
