Google Maps has introduced a new feature that allows you to customize driving directions that you create. With customized driving directions, you can:

-Avoid or include certain road or locations in your directions
-Compare the route, distance and mileage of different routes
-Route around bad traffic

You can customize your driving directions by dragging any point on the purple directions line to any location on the map. Google Maps immediately re-creates the directions as well as updates the estimated travel time and distance.
