Fring has released a beta version of their popular mobile VoiP client for Sony Ericsson P990i IQ3 mobile devices. Fring for UIQ offers all features that the S60 version has to offer such as live chat with Skype, Windows Live MSN Messenger & Google Talk contacts and free calls through popular providers of SIP-based services such as GizmoProject, VoipCheap, VoipStunt, Free World, etc over Wi-Fi WLAN or GPRS, EDGE or 3G Internet data plan.

Unfortunately, Fring does not support other Sony Ericsson UIQ mobile devices such as M600 and W950.

Note: You need to have the latest R6D23 firmware for Sony Ericsson P990i.

Installation instructions

1) Download and install cah1621023_SemcVoIPAudio.sis which is the required Voip audio codec for Sony Ericsson.
2) Get Fring for UIQ3 here
