Qipit is a free service for mobile phone users through which you can send photographs of documents, whiteboards, business cards and handwritten notes captured with a high resolution cellphone camera to an online server where it is converted into a digital copy (PDF) and sent to recipients via EMAIl or FAX. You can also choose to tag the documents with keywords for archiving purposes as well as publish them to websites.

To scan and send a captures photo via email or fax,
1. Take a picture of the item (document, whiteboard, business card or handwritten note) from your mobile phone camera
2. Prepare to send the picture via picture message (MMS) or mobile email to color@qipit.com (for a color copy) or copy@qipit.com (for a black and white copy).
3. Enter the recipient’s email address or fax number in the body of the message or text field (not in the subject area). Fax number should be typed in the international format i.e.
+ countrycode faxnumber e.g +14256158748
4. If you want to send the qipit copy to more than one email address or fax number, separate by comma
5. Send the message/email
And of course, the same thing can be done from a PC by sending a picture taken with a digital camera to color@qipit.com (for a color copy) or copy@qipit.com (for a black and white copy) from an email client such as Outlook/Thunderbird or any webmail service.

2and if you want smth better check out the free comombo service.
they do the same thing as qipit, but process the document on the mobile phone. This way you dont send 1-2MB, but only 50KB thus saving 95% on data costs!
the end quality is the same, you can also email or fax directly.
