MSMobiles links to a new freeware utility called Vito FindMe that allows selected users to receive the GPS co-ordinates of your location through SMS or Email and view it on any mapping software such as Google Maps.
After the application is installed, you need to setup a password which needs to be distributed to users whom you would like to be able to track your location. Once the confirguration is complete, your family and friends can send an SMS to your mobile device with the predefined codeword in the text and they will get a reply with the GPS coordinates of your location. You can also configure the application to send replies through an email account if you don’t have an unlimited SMS plan.
