AOL has released a new software codenamed Helix that integrates AOL email, Web browsing, AIM instant messaging, and other online services into one single application.
Key features of AOL Helix include:
-”AppMap” feature displays a clickable thumbnail of all your open windows
-Tabbed windows for email, chat or browser
-Multiple Email accounts supporting POP3 such as Gmail can be accessed from one mailbox.
-Integrated AIM 6.1 to chat with buddies and share files
-Transfer Favorites and Personal Filing Cabinet from AOL 9.0 to Helix.
-Local favorites with feeds support.
Helix is similiar to Microsoft’s free email application, Windows Live Mail and can be downloaded here
