Dial Dir-ect-ions is a free, unique voice-activated directions service that allows users to call a phone number, provide your current location and get further driving directions to your destination. This is useful for mobile devices without a GPS reciever or Internet connection.
Using Dial Directions is extremely easy. All you do is dial the number DIR-ECT-IONS (that’s 347-328-4667) on your cell phone, and answer a few quick questions about where you’re going and where you’re starting. You can give a specific destination address or intersection, or just ask for the closest location of any chain store. Then within seconds, you’ll receive directions via text message. The service is currently available in the greater metro areas of San Francisco, New York City and Los Angeles
