Opera 9.x is a great web browser but its compatibilty and integration with download managers is nothing to be praised about. While some download managers proclaim support for Opera plug-ins, they hardly integrate or give any options in the browser’s context menu like in Firefox or Internet Explorer. oGet is a free addon for Opera that supports the following information in the context menu:

- Download Link
- Download Selection
- Download All
- Referrer is passed in all of cases.
- At the use of Ctrl+Click, cookie and post-info is passed.
List of supported Download Managers include:
- BitComet
- Download Accelerator Plus
- Download Master
- FlashGet
- Free Download Manager
- FreshDownload
- GetRight
- GigaGet
- HiDownload
- InstantGet
- Internet Download Accelerator
- Internet Download Manager
- LeechGet
- Mass Downloader
- NetAnts
- Net Transport
- Net Transport 2
- Orbit
- ReGet
- Star Downloader
- TrueDownloader
- Thunder
- WellGet
- wxDownload Fast
- RapGet
- Universal Share Downloader
Download oGet for Opera 9.x here. You can also download the Get File Size addon for Opera here, an addon that basically displays the size of a file before downloading.
Installation:
Close Opera, start oGet_setup.exe and specify the folder where Opera is installed
Select the Download Manager of your choice under Tools->Select Download Manager. For direct download, choose “Full integration with Opera”.

1Still have problems with Flashget and Opera with oget - even tried plugin and plugin wouldn’t install right…can’t get Opera to give the download to Flashget or give me a choice on the right click dropdown window. Been reading forums and this problem isn’t unique to me.
