Secunia Personal Software Inspector (PSI) beta is a free software by security firm Secunia that detects software installed on your computer system and categorizes them as Insecure, End-of-Life, or Up-To-Date. The software also provides the direct download links to security updates & patches found on your PC.
Secunia PSI works by scanning .exe, .dll, and .ocx files on your computer. After examining all the files on your local hard drive(s), the collected data is sent to Secunia’s servers, which match the data against the Secunia File Signatures engine. This information is then used to provide a detailed report of the missing security related updates for Windows and other applications.
