Micropersuasion reports of a new service by GoLiveMobile that allows mobile users in United States to get Wikipedia search results by SMS text message using their Text2WAP technology.
To use this service, a user needs to send an SMS text message to 23907 with the keyword ABOUT followed by your search term an example being ‘ABOUT SYMBIAN’. GoLiveMobile will reply to your SMS with a link to the mobile optimized version of the Wikipedia entry.
You can also search RSS feeds by texting NEWS ‘Search Term’ to 23907 and get a link to a mobile-friendly webpage containing the result.

1i tried texting ABOUT SYMBIAN and i got a link to a little WAP site with Wiki info on it…pretty darn cool! at least cooler then trying to directly go to Wikipedia in your mobile phone browser and search for stuff, which I tried to do right after ;-> anyways not sure why this company would do this.. i went to their site http://www.golivemobile.com and didn’t really find more info about it..i mean i found a lot of info about premium sms and sms marketing etc but not about this particular service. its basically a B2B company launching a free D2C service? uhhh ok…
