McAfee has released MCPR2.exe, a free product removal tool for Windows XP and Vista on the lines of Symantec’s Norton Removal Tool(SymNRT). McAfee Consumer Product Removal tool (MCPR2.exe) removes all 2005, 2006, and 2007 versions of McAfee consumer products like anti-virus and firewall from the system. This utility should be used when the uninstaller is corrupt or missing. Not using this tool might result in unwanted keys remaining in the registry.

After you run this tool, you must restart the computer for complete removal.
